Happy Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July. The day started foggy and misty and cloudy and very humid. I walked in the morning, about 3 miles which is a nice way to begin my day. By lunchtime the sun was shining, there was a slight breeze and but still humid. Spent the afternoon at the beach- beautiful. The water was warmer than I expected and while I didn't go in "all the way" I stood in the water for quite a while. Just lovely. Have read several books- one an older Jodi Picoult- Vanishing Acts- quite good. Have started Code Name Verity which a friend recommended. I have (like so many) books to read. Looking forward to the lazy hazy days of summer.
